don’t be a poopie

It seems that recently God has been pushing me to find that passion again. Go to a football game (take it in what ever form you want), and what do you see? Passionate friends screaming and unashamed to show others how they feel about their favorite team. Go to a music concert, and what do you see? Passionate fans screaming and unashamed to show others how they feel about their favorite band. Go to a car dealer, and what do you see? Passionate salesmen and saleswomen screaming and unashamed to show others how they feel about their favorite car. OK, that’s stretching it a little bit but it was hilarious to play that scene in my mind. Imagination can be so entertaining eh?

Anyway now take yourself to a church, and what do you see? Those same people that are so passionate about their sports team, their band, and their car (?), are they just as or even more passionate about their God? I mean, what does it mean to be passionate? How can you tell whether someone is passionate about God? I think to have passion is to have this irresistable urge to just shout to the whole world how awesome this thing or person you have passion for is. To have passion is to be completely bold and unashamed to make known your feelings about what you have passion for. How can you tell? Just listen to someone talk about God … imagine someone saying “oh God? Jesus? yeah He’s cool. Now can I go?” talk about passionless hahaha. Now imagine someone saying ” Jesus? Of COURSE I know who He is! He is the awesomest God ever because He’s the only one that died for me! Man!!! You need to get to know Him and find out for yourself how awesome He is! bla bla bla bla bla” See it now??? A passionate person is always seeking for opportunites to share to others what they know about what they are passionate about. Every where, so many are mediocre about how they feel about God. How changed this world would be if there are more passionate people for God!
